Street . Chic

I cannot get over how pretty and chic this outfit looks. The black doesn't look at all severe because of the little pop of color from the shirt and scarf, + the minimal makeup and low-key hair are perfection.

Also, if I had legs like that, I would go jeans shopping positively every. single. day. of. the. week. Which, lets face it, I'd have to get out of the way early, as I think when you don't have any muscle or fat around your bones, they tend to not last as long.

Cottage . Life

I'm not entirely sure about the lime green - I might be tempted to go with black, blue, or perhaps grey - but I love the simplicity and coziness in these rooms!

Lisa . Brown

While I'm fairly certain that these pretty frocks from Lisa Brown are considered ready-to-wear, don't you think they'd make the loveliest summer or destination wedding dresses? I'm partial to the last one, but that may just be because it has sequins all about the top :)

Leopard

Leopard is always going to be in style - so long as it's not Halloween costume-y that is - and I love the different ways that people incorporate it into their wardrobes. Whether it's a lot or just a pinch, it looks smashing.

Also, if anyone wants to send me a pair of those Giuseppe Zanotti Leopard wedges in picture #6, I take a size 39 :)

Today feels like it has been really, really long already, but thankfully the only things that are left on my "to do" list include watching last night's episode of Gossip Girl and running over to the store to get more coffee beans. Manageable.

Rust + Leopard

Jacket: Vintage
Tee: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Forever21
Booties: Kelly & Katie
Scarf: World Market

Today I'm supposed to be doing many school things, but eh, I'll get to it eventually. It's just such a nice day, and with the exception of making myself go for a run, I'm kind of putzing through it. I'd hoped that it would sunshiney enough for new shop photos - I've got some great new coats, sweaters, and boots to shoot - but alas, that will have to wait until midweek it seems.

I've also gone and drawn myself some little wrist birds, as I grew ever more jealous of the pretty little tattoos posted below.

How is the start of the week going for everyone else?

Bird . Tattoo

After a lovely post by Kate at Velvet Cupcakes, I fell head over heels in love with these positively wonderful dainty bird tattoos. I haven't seriously considered a tattoo since I was a teenager, but these have me rethinking - they're adorable!

Ida . Sjöstedt . SS . 2011

Love the red lips and retro hair on the Ida Sjöstedt SS 2011 runway - it's kind of perfection when bold makeup looks so easy, pretty, and wearable.

Running . Errands . Outfit

Cardigan & Blouse: Vintage
Jeans: Urban Outfitters
Boots: Steve Madden
Bag: Louis Vuitton

Michigan's Indian Summer seems to have passed, as today it's back down into the 50s and appropriate weather for layering again. Even though it's Saturday, there seemed to be a lot going on: I went for a four mile run; cleaned a bit; the upstairs bath leaked water into the downstairs kitchen (so not good), and someone (who was also pretty cute) came over to see what the issue was (inexpensive, thankfully); then I dropped some things off at the thrift store and did a little thrifting myself (no good finds, boo); went to feed my parents' cats; and now am settling in for a bit of reading.

I hope that everyone else is having a wonderful weekend!!

I . Fell . Off . the . Wagon

I have to say that I was doing fantastic, really well, pretty good, mostly okay with the whole no shopping thing. And I still have not gone back to just running out and shopping for the sake of it. However... this one bag that I had planned on saving for and buying next year, it got discontinued. So it was kind of a now or never thing.

Introducing my Louis Vuitton Manhattan GM:

It arrived yesterday and is quite simply, perfect.
